It is time. Time to stand with Jesus. Time to seek Him, to know Him and give Your allegiance to the Christ. No longer is He to be mocked, discounted, or ignored; He is the Savior to be embraced and the Lord to be worshiped and adored. Friend, Look to the Cross, Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus! Hallelujah! Repentance, properly defined, is necessary for salvation. Biblical repentance is changing your mind about living in sin. That means sin is no longer to be taken lightly, ignored, or something to toy with; sin is to be forsaken.

Ephesians 3:14-21 NASB “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through Holy Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

In short, followers of Jesus are called to become more like Christ each and every day in our thoughts, affections, and actions — our head, heart, and hands.

This week has had some moments …. Beautiful and ugly - and God is present, compassionate and merciful through all of them. When we are trying to stand on loose gravel all we will see is the world’s version of knowledge and hear chaotic theories about the days of tribulation and affliction, opinions that are causing confusion, anxiety, anguish, and fear. The solution in these unstable times is not to heed the prophets of chaos but instead direct our thoughts and keep our focus firmly on Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 NASB1995
“Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.”
Friend, Jesus is very clear: no one will know.

The privileges of being justified and reconciled to God are a central teaching in Romans 8, and because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, we, His people have the indwelling of Holy Spirit who is with us as we journey to eternity in God’s new heaven and earth. Suffering with Jesus, however, is part of what we undergo, our edification, as we await the final and full consummation of all things. In the midst of our suffering, we have hope because of the surety of the world to come and the intercessory work of Holy Spirit.

We daily sin, but Jesus Christ, taking our place and doing what we could not do for ourselves, lived His life perfectly. We regularly fall to our sin, Satan's inducements and the world's enticements, but Jesus said a firm, "no!" to every allurement and attraction placed before Him. Jesus did this, and did it without slip or stumble, in an awe inspiring display of Divine love, a gift of grace which was, and for many, still is, unwanted, unappreciated, unapplauded, and unreceived. What is your excuse?
