Leaving there, Jesus found three other men sitting in a boat, mending their nets. Two were brothers, Jacob and John, and they were with their father, Zebedee. Jesus called Jacob and John to His side and said to them, “Come and follow Me.” And at once they left their boat and their father, and began to follow Jesus.  Matthew 4:21-22 TPT

God is where we’re going, and God is how we’re going to get there. Whether we are standing on the shore, just beginning our journey, or hoping to swim into the depths of Christian maturity, we want more.

Not more than Jesus, but more of Jesus.

We want more of Him because He is not merely good to us; most importantly, He is good for us.  And He is good for our families and our communities. We need Him! This wounded world needs Him!

Our faith and courage to step out boldly for God’s kingdom should be deep because God is inexhaustible. He invites His church, His people, into rich and deep fellowship because His goodness is indeed bottomless, and we will never exhaust the bottomless beauty of God. Along with Apostle Paul we get to proclaim…

Romans 11:33 TPT Who could ever wrap their minds around the riches of God, the depth of His wisdom, and the marvel of His perfect knowledge? Who could ever explain the wonder of His decisions or search out the mysterious way He carries out His plans?

Like the numerous stars that light up the sky, so are God's promises that bring light to a believer's life, especially during dark times. What's important to remember about God's promises is that they are trustworthy. God is faithful to all of them, and His goodness does not fail. He loves You, He loves each of us.

Praying over this weeks message with Holy Spirit I was left wondering….. Whose life will never be the same due to the seeds we planted in their soul that will one day flourish regardless of whether or not they are a friend or stranger?  If we have an ongoing presence in their life or not?

The journey of finding out our part in God’s kingdom is one that is never finished nor fully fulfilled. For the truth is that we never finish finding who we are until united with Jesus the day we are called Home.

And when you consider that our purpose is to bring others toward that same horizon of eternity saved by Jesus, a life  that we look so forward to, it makes you think twice about what we are doing with our prayers, our worship, our daily routines; dreams, goals, friendships, aspirations, and constant choices.

It could be viewed as stressful and weighting. In reality, it's a blessing and liberating. Complete freedom is found when we work for God. How can someone believe in The Lord if they have never heard of Him?

When was the last time we paused and shared Christ with a stranger? Or got up from the comfort and safety of our seat in church and talked salvation with someone a few rows over?

What if you're the person Jesus has assigned to someone's coming to know Him?

What if we are “that someone” who will represent the light of Christ in an extremely dark area?

Guess what! We are that someone!

Today, trust where God leads you. He has someone who needs to learn of Jesus through each of us!
