Now when Jesus entered Peter’s house, He saw his mother-in-law lying down, sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and began to serve them. When it was evening, many demon-possessed people were brought to him. He drove out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. In this way what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet was fulfilled: He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases. Matthew 8:14-17 NET
When others look over people in need, we will stop and show mercy because the Lord of all is the perfect example of loving humanity. God sees us because He's looking for us and is moved to compassion when we at last call out to Him! Jesus saves us, and restores us, and then it's our turn to care for others.
Holy Spirit speaks into us, “children, why do you keep focusing on the future? Whether your mind drifts five minutes ahead or five months, dwelling in the future prevents you from experiencing My presence. You can know My nearness only when your mind is fully in the moment. All stresses and fears enter your mind when you are thinking about the future. And all regrets and bitterness come into your mind when you are focusing on the past.
Wow. when we come into the moment, God’s stillness, we will not only experience His presence, but we also will become sensitive to the needs of those around us. Only when our mind is in the moment will the Lord’s love, compassion, and kindness flow through us to those who share the daily moments with us.
People will see Jesus in us, and we will make a difference in their day that can impact their lives for eternity.
