Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.  Psalms 46:10 NLT

Facing some of the most difficult times, when trauma was all around me, I remained still. I just sat in the stillness of God. When I wanted to defend myself, I remained still. While mourning the loss of family and community, I remained still.   In that stillness, I found Jesus waiting for me. I found grace & forgiveness. For myself. For others. In that stillness, the truth of God’s love emerged. For myself. For others. In that stillness, God drew me close. To Himself. To others.

In that stillness, joy restored my joy. To Himself. To others. And in that, I finally saw that stillness is a CHOICE. A beautiful and freeing choice.   I still have that choice every day whether I choose to be still or choose to react and respond without grace, without trust, without peacefulness.

I must emphasize this.... The one who laid His life down for you wants you to be willing to lay your life down for Him. He doesn’t ask this of us to rob us of anything, but rather to strip us of our unrighteousness and in return He gives us Himself! His grace, forgiveness, hope and wisdom!

Offer your heart to Jesus and for His grace to grant you a better understanding of what He has done for you.
