On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And after He said this, He breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:19-22 NET
As we share this devotional, the stock markets are down, unemployment in Canada is staggering, our world is in chaos with a global pandemic. Let me ask "What will it be tomorrow?" We don't know. We have our hopes, but we don't know. We might make an intelligent guess, but we don't know. God knows.
In this life things are such that what tomorrow brings will always be unknown. Indeed, the only thing which can be known with complete certainty is that God's Son, the Savior, Jesus Christ entered this world to move people from darkness into light; to give hope to those who were despondent and forgiveness to those whose souls were befouled by their transgressions.
