Jesus Doesn’t Change

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a human being, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it happen?  Numbers 23:19 NET

If you feel like the patterns of the world are more apparent in your life, than the patterns of Jesus, never give up. Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, think about those things. I grew up with a bunch of insecurities, fears and pressures that I couldn’t see a way out of.  I felt like something was missing. Eventually I sought God and decided to put my faith in Jesus and He was able to fill the holes in my heart. I have undeniable faith that He can do the same for you too. What can make us whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Jesus doesn't change. He's the Son of God, sent to save the world from our sin. Though He's not physically present anymore, Holy Spirit lives inside us. And, through Spirit and His Word, He's still doing the same work that He did while He was here on earth.

When we want to grow our faith, or live for God, or jolt ourselves out of a spiritual rut, we may not need the courage to try something new. Instead, Jesus might be calling us to realize the strength of doing the same thing - loving Him with all we've got - again and again.

We’ll continue to exempt ourselves from the promises He gives us until we learn how to receive God’s unconditional love for ourselves. We don’t love ourselves because we are good. We can love and accept ourselves because He is good, and we are His creation. 

God has always loved us, and still does. He accepts you and me under the grace of Jesus Christ. If God loves you, you are worth loving. Period.
