May grace and peace be lavished on you as you grow in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord! I can pray this because His divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the One who called us by His own glory and excellence. Through these things He has bestowed on us His precious and most magnificent promises, so that by means of what was promised you may become partakers of with Holy Spirit, after escaping the worldly corruption that is produced by evil desire. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge; to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love. For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.  2 Peter 1:2-8 NET

We are to continually add the teachings of 2 Peter 1:5-8 to our daily life along with prayer and worship, in preparation for the lies of the world that will be thrown our way.  God has such an incredible plan for us, but if we lack His teachings, we’ll have an incomplete Christian life. Apostle Peter goes on to say, “For he who lacks these things is short-sighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins” (2 Peter 1:9).

And think on it too, living out all of those characteristics is simply evidence of receiving the fruit of Holy Spirit that comes from believing in and following Jesus Christ.  We get to read God’s truth in the Bible and know with certainty that Jesus restores us and Holy Spirit helps us see our identities with the eyes of our Saviour.  It comes down to this, barriers, labels, assumptions, stereotypes do not fit in the kingdom of God. Don’t limit yourself or others by labels. God’s truth is everything.

Ephesians 6:13-14 NASB Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Truth is anything that agrees with what God has said in the Bible and what God has created.

God’s Truth is cut and dried, black and white, and it does not change. And yet how can something so static and immovable bring up waves of emotion, both positive and negative?

The truth can bring order to chaos. It can settle long standing arguments and it can set you free from the bonds of deception. The truth can also be viewed as harsh because there is no room for compromise or negotiation.

And while the truth can be painful to accept my friends, remember when facing it that you are loved by Jesus. He is the TRUTH WAY LIGHT There is nothing you do or say that can disqualify you from God’s mercy and love, we have the freedom of choice to remain separated from Him or acknowledge Jesus as the Saviour.
