Are You Ready?

It is truly impossible to be a Christ follower without Holy Spirit, and the Father stands by, ready to give Him to all who ask. If imperfect parents know how to lovingly take care of their children and give them what they need, how much more will the perfect heavenly Father give Holy Spirit’s fullness when His children ask Him.  Luke 11:13 TPT

He is able to do far beyond anything we could ask or imagine.

So, what’s required of us? 

Surrender. We must choose to live beyond ourselves and give God access to every area of our lives. 

The Bible says it this way:

John 3:30 TPT It is necessary for Him to increase and for me to decrease.

We will surrender our emotions in exchange for His peace, our problems in exchange for His promises and our plans in exchange for His purpose. 

When we give God control of our lives, He is faithful to keep us on His road and take us further than we could ever go on our own. 

Ephesians 3:16-19 NIV I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through Holy Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Surrender is never easy, but it’s always worth it. Hunker down and enjoy the process and know that God deeply desires to be in friendship with us, open your heart and invite Holy Spirit to point out any areas of your life that you’ve been holding onto, He will wash over the muddy, stitch up the cuts, grow the garden within you - and as He does all things for you and with you He will give you the honour of working for Him in the salvation story of others.

Holy Spirit will breathe life and power into each person who will surrender and listen to Him. He is powerful, life-giving, He will guide us into all truth as we listen and obey His promptings. He will speak to our hearts in a way that will give us a deep understanding of the Word of God.  

His life-giving power helps us apply the Word to our lives. As we spend regular, consistent time with God we will be given a remarkable perspective in the way we see people and problems. He gives each of us inner joy and calming peace that will set your heart on fire with freedom and hope like never before.
