Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:5-7 CSB

So as we head out into the week ahead- kind of like heading out to sea lol - Take a moment to practice taking these truths to heart. Turn to Psalm 96 in your Bible and bow before God. If you are not able to bow literally, humbly bow before Him in your heart. He is God. He loves us each with a love that knows no bounds.

Philippians 4:9 CSB Do what you have learned and received and heard from Me, and seen in Me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Holy Spirit gives us the courage to trust God with the things that are causing chaos in our life, rather than trying to control them ourselves because His ways are higher than our ways. We can choose to surrender control, knowing that His way is far greater than the way we thought it would turn out. Thank You Lord!

True peace is the conviction that says “ I cannot find peace within myself, but I find it in Jesus” By choosing to put our trust in Jesus, we are putting our trust in a steadfast peace!

Psalms 31:14-16 NIV But I trust in You, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me. Let Your face shine on Your servant; save me in Your unfailing love.

I want to encourage you today to surrender what you’re trying to control to God, and trust Him with your present moment.
