Your marvelous words are living miracles; no wonder I long to obey everything You say. Break open Your word within me until revelation-light shines out! Those with open hearts are given insight into Your plans. Psalms 119:129-130 TPT
The opening up of our hearts and souls to wisdom and understanding brings peace and rejoicing. It turns our heart toward God and away from empty pursuits and worldly satisfactions. It gives life to our entire existence.
This is not for a small few. This unfolding of Truth is available to every heart hungry to know God and experience the power of the living, breathing Word of God in their lives.
Proverbs 2:1-5 TPT My child, will you treasure my wisdom? Then, and only then, will you acquire it. And only if you accept my advice and hide it within will you succeed. So train your heart to listen when I speak and open your spirit wide to expand your discernment— then pass it on to your sons and daughters. Yes, cry out for comprehension and intercede for insight. For if you keep seeking it like a man would seek for sterling silver, searching in hidden places for cherished treasure, then you will discover the fear of the Lord and find the true knowledge of God.
As we continue to sit at the feet of Jesus, come with a heart of deep expectation for what the truths of Scripture can bring to life in our own heart and the transformation that will come as we openly receive what Holy Spirit brings.
John 1:14 NET Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw His glory – the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.
Jesus is fully divine. All-knowing. Ever-present. All-powerful. And, the Bible makes it clear He is also all-human. Jesus came into this world and comes into the lives of those who believe in Him, flushing away every fragment of doubt and death and infusing us with wonder and hope.
To be saved by grace is to be saved by Him—not by an idea, a doctrine, or church membership, but by Jesus Christ Himself, who will sweep into heaven anyone who gives Him their heart.
Do you know this Jesus?
Can you imagine? Wow my friends, the, THE God of the universe, for a time, physically lived among us. He didn’t have to; Jesus came to be near to His people.
Hebrews 4:15-16 CSB For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
He faced what you and I face. We have a lot in common with Jesus and He understands all of it. If Jesus understands us then so does God. Jesus is God in human form. He was God with us—not “God above us,” or “God-somewhere-out-there,” but God with us. All of us.
Amazing grace!
Jesus Christ became one of us so we might become one with Him. He entered our world in the high hope that we will enter His. God’s nature would not hold Him in heaven. It led Him to earth. In God’s great gospel He not only sends, but He also becomes; He not only looks down upon us, but He also lives among; He not only talks to us, but He also loves with us as one of us. God with us. We cannot find a place where God is not.
And think about this for a moment, not once did Christ use His supernatural powers for personal comfort. As human as Jesus was, He had never experienced the thorns of sin and guilt . . . until He became sin for us.
Romans 5:8 TPT But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!
And with all that Jesus did, the coolest thing about the One who gave up the crown of heaven for a crown of thorns was that He did it for you. For me. He did it for the body of Christ.
And God loves to be with the ones He loves. He entered the world not to demand our allegiance but to display His affection. He wanted you to know that He understands and that you can go to Him. With anything. With everything! Jesus has been where we are and can relate to how we feel.
