Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy, complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose. Philippians 2:1-2 NET
Thinking and writing about God’s most magnificent gift, Jesus, and how our risen Lord lives His time on earth for us, not Himself, brought home some truth time for us, with the new mandatory face covering temporarily required it has been so easy to get caught up in our “rights.”
And our idea of personal rights can take many forms. We can get braggy about our good deeds, how long we’ve been a Christian, a hardship we’ve endured for the cause of Christ or we can get argumentative about rights we think we are entitled to.
But no matter what our rights we have been given by this world or how impressive they may seem, I can assure you: Jesus’ rights were higher.
Son of God.
