So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 NET
With the current nation wide shut downs, lay offs, school closures and drastic lifestyle adjustments there have been a lot of moments to pause, panic, pause again..... moments trying to plan and then moments realizing the best plan right now is no plan. And because we are to treasure each day as a gift, I pray we know in our hearts that none of us are too far gone to be loved by God and welcomed by Jesus Christ. Broken can be restored. Sorrow can turn into joy. Empty can be filled. Worthless can be valued. Shame can fade and let confidence arise. We get to experience grace, restoration, and healing while God is working out our purpose and on the other side of His redemptive love, we will experience all He has in this world. Hallelujah!
God has a plan for each of us regardless of our past choices, upbringing, culture, regardless of how we have been treated, or how we only show the world a projected image of who we are. We are born to be parents, teachers, homemakers, volunteers, cashiers, doctors. Because God sees His beloved children when He looks at us and sees someone of immense value we are painted as a beautiful picture, like shattered glass that with care becomes a stained glass window, that is what the Lord wants to do, take the brokenness of our past and use it for something glorious. And it is awe inspiring to remember that everything and everyone has a purpose.
