Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in Him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; He has become my deliverer. Sickness, disease, and infirmity must flee. Every form of depression must go. At the Name of Jesus Christ every form of darkness has to flee. Nothing can stand in His way. There is no entanglement that He cannot break us free from. There is no emotional prison, financial struggle, spiritual wilderness, pandemic, that He cannot set us free from. God breaks cycles and destroys curses. Every curse is broken by the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah! Isaiah 12:2 NET
Don’t harden your hearts my friends, I pray you choose to receive God and be free. Let God lead and soften your heart. Receive His provision. Oh my, yes, because when we do, no matter how tired we are Then will we be able to pour into others the light of Jesus!
And lately I’ve been noticing more and more, and I’m certainly feeling it more and more, an almost unnatural exhaustion. Still carrying the joy of the Lord, but physically tired, probably more like an all encompassing exhausted. And I know we are not alone in that. Again, we are inundated with news headlines, grief, strife, sorrow right there in our faces when we turn on the TV, open a Facebook page, scroll Instagram. But God, our mighty Lord does not grow weary.
And I know it’s not an easy one, to pull yourself out of bed and face another day in the middle of seemingly hopeless circumstance, but it is an important one for every believer. It starts with the decision to rejoice in our situations no matter how weary we are or how heavy the burdens are. When we can do this, we fan into flame Holy Spirit’s gift of endurance, which produces character.
Romans 5:3-5 NET Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
One of the amazing results of persevering through to the end is growing in Christ-like character. It makes us a better person by pulling out the sin nature and cultivating a spirit that is kind, humble, patient, and above all, puts Christ before all else.
And by His amazing grace the Lord promises that if we will run the race with perseverance to the end, God will complete the good work He started in us whether it was all those years ago when we turned our hearts over to Him or today when we declare Jesus is the risen Saviour.
