For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you most certainly, there are some standing here who will not experience death before they see the kingdom of God.  Luke 9:26-27 NET

When Jesus called His disciples, He didn’t just say, “Believe in me!” He told them, “Follow me.” And they dropped everything to follow Him. Jesus said that anyone who wants to be His follower must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.

To be clear, we are made right with God through faith in Jesus. Salvation is a gift of grace. We cannot earn God's approval. That’s why it’s called grace. And we will never get following Jesus “100% correct!” In response to this grace, though, we put in the effort to love our neighbours diligently, go forth and make disciples, share the good news of the Gospel, and follow Jesus faithfully.
