But the moment one turns to the Lord with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see. 2 Corinthians 3:16 TPT
The challenge for us today is; how are we living out this truth? Do our friends look at our lives and see God’s joy and freedom? Are they intrigued about the source of that freedom? If not, what might we need to change?
Ask Holy Spirit to remind you of the true joy of your salvation, because if we believe in our hearts that we are free, we can dwell in God’s will for our lives and live out His purpose. It is through our freedom that Jesus can bring light and love to others who are still searching.
And while we are talking about it let's take a moment and pray.... God, we need You, unveil the message of the cross, Lord remove the veil from minds so that eyes see You clearly with hope, understanding and faith. Amen.
Sometimes the stories we have lived out have raised more eyebrows than faith, leaving Christians labelled as hypocritical, exclusive, close minded and power hungry.
BUT that is not God’s church. That is not Jesus’ body of Christ. It doesn’t have to stay this way; we each have the ability to change how Jesus is shared with, expressed to those around us! Because He has revived, changed each one of us, brothers and sisters in Christ, who know and declare that Jesus Christ is the risen Saviour.
And therefore when the message of Jesus continually refines who we are, our actual life becomes an inspiring and narrative of grace pointing people to Him.
Whoa is that narrative powerful. Jesus helps people make sense of their lives and the world around us. He has a way of bringing people in contact with meaning, God’s meaning of life.
We can use His narrative, combined with the story of our personal revival and salvation, to share our faith and help people experience freedom.
Remember, be brave, Holy Spirit is hanging out with you, ready to step forward. You are a redeemed person living in a broken world, full of broken narratives, and all you need to do is change the commentary.
Because the Lord teaches us.....
