But since we are of the day, we must stay sober by putting on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet our hope for salvation. For God did not destine us for wrath but for gaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that whether we are alert or asleep we will come to life together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, just as you are in fact doing.  1 Thessalonians 5:8-11 NET

The genuine rescue of our heart begins with our genuine pursuit of God’s open door. Only when we seek God with our whole heart will we find Him.

God is not interested in a part of us. He desires for us to pursue Him with all we have. Giving Him only part of our hearts is the same as only giving Him part of your daily life. The rest of it is still going to kill you. He does not want to heal jus a piece of our brokenness; He wants to heal all of it.

Likewise, giving Him only part of your heart would be the same as trying to steer part of motorcycle. Until the whole bike is leaning into the curve, you are not going anywhere you should be.

In the same way, our heavenly Father does not want to redeem, heal, and free only part of your heart, a portion of your soul, a bit of your mind and a piece of your strength.

Philippians 2:12-13 NET So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the One bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of His good pleasure – is God.

So, complete renewal before God for each of us God begins when we stop pursuing God with small parts and pieces of ourselves and start pursuing Him with all we have!

We have the same choice. If we genuinely want to move deeper into the loving presence of God, pursue Him, sing praise and worship to Him with abandon, speak quietly to Him in prayer, seek the Lord with all of your heart.
