If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All flesh is like grass, And all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, And the flower falls off, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word which was preached to you.  1 Peter 1:17-25 NASB 

Friend, Jesus Christ will return at His appointed time. Are you surrendered to the Lord? Will you take up your cross and follow Him, steadfast as a warrior of Christ, reading the Bible daily, praying to God an ongoing conversation of praise, trust, respect, awe. When we surrender ourselves, our ways to the Lord, our desire will shift from giving in to the sin, despair and evil that attempts to overwhelm mankind. We will desire communion with Emmanuel, God with us.

May our perspective for 2024 be seeing from a stance of victory in the Lord, seeing the righteous judgement and might of King Jesus. Today we can continue on through uncertainty, grief and confusion because the Lord of creation gives us the strength we need to get through this life we've been given. Remember We are not alone, this very moment you can speak one word, Jesus, and believe that He already knows you, His beloved sons and daughters, amazing grace! Jesus Christ IS OUR SALVATION ( Hebrews 5:9) God has no equal. No rivals. No shortages. No needs. 

The Lord made the heavens and the earth. He is before all people, before all things. Therefore as we wait on Him, may we be His people who offer our praise to Behold our God, He holds time in His hands. and it bows to Him. Jesus is not bound or limited by a calender. We are called and invited and created to love and serve God with all our hearts all our soul, mind and strength, and to love others as ourselves all for His kingdom. We are able to do this because of His grace, simply beautiful unmerited grace.

2 Chronicles 15:3-4 NASB ”For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law. But in their distress they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.“ 

Look at it this way, when we agree to be a piece of God’s salvation plan and ask Holy Spirit for wisdom and strength to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, towards His horizon, we will see God has asked us to be a part of the salvation of His nations! There is tragedy when people deliberately choose to reject Jesus, to walk away from God, ignore Holy Spirit, the result will be their eternal suffering. If there is a growing discontent deep inside your heart—a hunger that hasn’t been completely satisfied by the people, pleasures, parties, material things, or accomplishments—today is the day to open your heart to the understanding that it is Jesus Christ that you were made for. But we have to walk away from the lesser things of this world and ask Him to become our “more.” 

Jesus is enough for you, He is enough for me, and He is here. God is the only way, all that we need. Our hearts were created by Him, to seek Him. And that is the same with the hearts of those all around the world! Oh Lord Jesus, how we need You, we love You, hallelujah we join in song with the multitudes on earth as in heaven and worship You…. Worthy is the Lamb holy holy holy Lord God almighty.
