Begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping the saints. 2 Corinthians 8:4 NET
So I am certain in these times we are to be reconcilers for God. We have a divine connection in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. His love is unconditional and transcends every dividing wall imaginable. {tweetme}Jesus broke down the barriers and reconciled us to God. {/tweetme}
What was asked of the disciples on the mountaintop is also being asked of us, to simply tell others that the work has already been done. God’s grace is sufficient. We are to spread the Lord’s light to all we meet, to see others as God does.
John 13:34-35 NET I give you a new commandment – to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Everyone will know by this that you are My disciples – if you have love for one another.
Jesus didn’t come to promote a political party or to condemn people. He came to heal, to restore, and to pour out grace and love. He explored the margins and went to the outcast and the forgotten.
He hung out with criminals, with lepers, with tax collectors, and with those who were forgotten and despised. Jesus traveled to the cities and small towns and the rural places, and He ministered to those who were in desperate need.
He invites us into that lifestyle, the daily ministry of simply participating in the lives around us. We live out His love best when we knock down dividing walls and live lives that reflect His overflowing grace.
I’ve probably repeated this but so often God wants us to not only have friendships with neighbours, coworkers but be a flash of light in someone’s day, you might never see that grocery store cashier or clothing store clerk again but with Holy Spirit showing us we can be grace for a moment.
