Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.  Joshua 1:7-9 NASB

Did you catch that! God speaks, “My children I want you to step out; to march into uncertainty with the confidence that every place is yours because it’s Mine. The fire that I ignited in your soul when you scouted the land can now be fanned into a blaze. Move forward. Occupy the land. Occupy the streets”.

All of us have been given the assignment of sharing the Gospel, to be Holy Spirit filled ambassadors of Jesus Christ, that nation the Lord of all creation has called us to be. We may struggle with this because we lack the confidence, the passion, or even the know-how to do it.  But if in our hearts Christ is our Savior, then we are His and we have been called for this very purpose.

1 Peter 2:9-10 NASB “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

We get to speak with one voice, offering God's truth with mercy and compassion in a swirl of worldly lies, whispering hope into the world's self-destruction.  Every interaction we have throughout the course of a day either builds up the nation of God’s kingdom or breaks it down. It either blesses other people or burdens them.

Oh man I m reflecting on my various daily moments this past week - Thinking through talks I was engaged in - did I add upset, even chaos, to someone else's day or did I take Holy Spirit into each step and bring His hope and the light of Jesus to another persons journey…
