You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:1-4 NASB
When you get saved and delivered, attacks from the enemy and the ensuing battles don’t stop. In fact, in some ways, they only begin. In deliverance, God works for us, but in dominion, Jesus works through us. Like it or not, we must fight. God does not deliver us from battles, but He absolutely trains us for them. Because our King, the Saviour, Jesus Christ chose to die on the cross for each of us, we don’t fight for victory; we fight from victory to eternal victory.
Be aware of the struggle, but take heart. Brothers and sisters! Be vigilant, and take heart. Don’t be afraid because of this unseen battle. Your enemy would love nothing more than to paralyze you with fear. He wants to keep you from fulfilling your God-created purpose. But you don’t need to be afraid because you belong to God. You have already won a victory over your enemy because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Oh my friends, thank you for joining us, welcome to a new week. Every day is the day that the Lord has made, and each day we will praise Jesus. What an easy thing it is- because He is so worthy. We praise Him for His teaching, His power, His presence, His wisdom, His ultimate sacrifice, and a million other things that spring forth from inside us.
Praise Him for all the things that are personal to you and to Jesus. When you first decided to follow Jesus so many things came into focus. He went from “a savior” to “your savior.”
He fights the battle with us. He picks us up in times of despair. He carries us to victory. He sits beside us in failures. He talks us out of acting on our temptations.
We owe You everything, Thank You God!
