Much Much More

For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.  Ephesians 2:14-16 NASB

All around us there are man-made borders, walls, and labels that have been created, using the color of our skin, languages we speak, nations we were born in, political opinions and sadly so much more to to divide and destroy, to take our eyes away from seeing our identity as God’s children, from who Christ sees us as - and it is a sombre realization to be aware that around us, every day, even the most seemingly insignificant topics are used by the enemy to create barriers causing us to wage war against one another.  We are dead in our transgressions. 

But that is not God’s kingdom!  united by Jesus, we get to stand centered with Christ in the eye of the storm, as a people who know this earth that He created is not our forever home.

Is it difficult these days -  to dance with joy while the news headlines pummel us ……..   ? That’s why we must praise God! Thank You King Jesus for coming to tear down every wall and unite us with You as one people under one accord with one heart and one mission! We are to live fearlessly, not wondering when earthly death will come but joyfully with our eyes fixed firmly on Jesus Christ, knowing each of us is a piece of the salvation story of God’s people!
