For Your name’s sake, O Lord, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land. The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. My eyes are continually toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net. Psalms 25:11-15 NASB
Ephesians 4:29-31 NASB Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
A life lived with Holy Spirit starts like any other true friendship. We must have a reverent fear of the Lord. He convicts us, we repent and He corrects us but does not condemn. Such immense majesty poured over mankind calls us to respect, love, and give our all to Him. We must make room in our life and learn what He likes and dislikes. And we must apologize, yes repent, when we do something that hurts and grieves Him. Holy Spirit is God, He is holy holy holy. We are to be awestruck in His presence yet we can come to Him like children at any moment with every thought. He is full of grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love. Friendship with God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit comes by following His leadership, I pray we ask Him how He feels about things in our day to day, laugh with Him, share our innermost with Him, and then follow His guidance away from lifestyles of sin into the righteousness available through Christ Jesus.
God responds to the prayers of His people. He teaches that throughout the Bible, His living word. We see Him respond to the desire of Adam for a helpmate with Eve, the prayer of Abraham in saving Lot and his family, the prayer of Moses in the salvation of his people, the prayer of Elijah in sending down fire upon an altar, and the cry for a Savior in sending His only son, Jesus. And through the death of Jesus, we’ve been filled with Holy Spirit, God Himself among and within us as the Helper who not only longs to guide and empower us but also to help us pray and pray for us.
Jude 1:17-25 NASB teaches … But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying with Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
What a reminder! Forgive us Lord for not praying before, after and over every moment, every interaction, situation and circumstance! We’ve been given the incredible gift of praying with Holy Spirit. The Spirit who searches the deep things of God desires to help us pray. He desires to reveal God’s desires to us in the midst of our relationships, and opportunities and longs to help us pray in line with God’s will. When we pray in the Spirit, we ask God to do the very thing He desires to do. It’s crucially important that we, as God’s people, learn how to discern the will of our Heavenly Father through Holy Spirit and pray according to His will not our own wants, wish lists.
Did you grasp that! When we pray in the Spirit, we are praying along with the will of God Himself! Whoa! What’s more, when we don’t KNOW what to pray, we can trust Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf.
Romans 8:26-27 NASB In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
MY FRIEND, Did you know that Holy Spirit prays for you? Did you know that He steps in on your behalf? So great is His love for you that He intercedes on your behalf when you don’t know how to pray.
I'm humbled. Not crushed under the weight of His holiness but made alive again every day by His magnificence.
With Holy Spirit, we have the same Teacher who faithfully breathed the perfect and practical words of Scripture to imperfect men across thousands of years. Not only did Holy Spirit teach the disciples, but He also teaches us. He is able to reveal to us the depths of God so that we might learn what it is to be a true follower of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He longs to show us the wisdom of God so that we might live as men and women ruled by God rather than fools who find their knowledge only in matters of the world. Let’s open our minds and hearts to receive the wisdom that can only come from God Himself, Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:7-13 NASB Butwe speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
If you will open your heart and mind today to being taught by Holy Spirit, you will discover a wealth of truth that has the power to set you free from the bonds and burdens of this temporary world. Scripture will begin to change your life as Holy Spirit reveals how God’s words written down thousands of years ago are entirely relevant and applicable to life today.
Receiving the teaching of Holy Spirit is as simple as submitting our lives to Him one day at a time and making time to listen to Him and study the Bible with Him. we don’t have to be pastors, ministers, theologians, or scholars to understand what the Bible means. Holy Spirit will be our teacher the way He was for the disciples that walked alongside Jesus.
My friends, Holy Spirit is moving quickly, hearts that were merely smouldering are alight again! He is here, yes Lord! Across all villages, towns, cities, nations ! The Lord God almighty is offering His hand to guide us through the chaos right now. He’s going to lead you away from the sins that hurt you and grieve Him. And He will guide us through a life of walking with Him to glorify God’s kingdom…..
