The One Who Is Truth

And Jesus answered and said to them, See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.  Matthew 24:4-8 NASB

Holy Spirit teaches how important our basis of truth, our foundation, really is. If we choose to rest our lives on something that doesn’t last, like the opinions of others or the headlines of today, we will always have to pick up the pieces of broken relationships and fear filled challenging circumstances.   Once we understand that truth is tied to the person of Jesus, we will know for certain that what is true is based on our relationship with the One who is Truth. Jesus Christ.

What is considered a fashionable political stance will ebb and flow, evil things will happen in the world and even in our own lives, but we endure when we reach for God’s hand, when we choose to build our lives on the solid, unshifting foundation of God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit. We stay standing. We will be a beacon of stability for darkening landscape.
