O clap your hands, all peoples; Shout to God with the voice of joy. Psalms 47:1 NASB
Have you met Jesus Christ? Whoa! He is amazing grace. He is all that is all that was all that will be! We can’t afford for our understanding or perception of the Lord to be based off someone else’s stories or things we’ve just heard about Him. No my friends, we need understanding to come out of what Holy Spirit reveals in the written down, living Word of God.
It’s important to make a point of reading the Bible every day. And while we read the Bible let’s prayerfully ask Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of who God is so that we can come to know Him, living a life of praising Jesus brings us into our Heavenly Father’s presence, gives us moments of refreshing with God and offers a glimpse of how we are forgiven, redeemed, forgiven and loved by Jesus Christ and who Jesus is to each of us, to you to me, will determine the way we live, the way we pray and the decisions we make - the way we stand up with praise lifted high even though our lives are heavy.
Putting Jesus Christ over everything is all about living your life to know God, to give Him the gratitude, the glory for all He does - take His hand and praise Him ! what a journey it is! Holy Spirit wants to change our worldly perspective to a revelation of God’s truth.
When Jesus died for His people, on the cross - it wasn’t just a demonstration of His love, it was a powerful transaction that took place ‘buying back’ our freedom from prisons of sin, so that we are reconciled to God. Hallelujah!
Not everything in life is perfect. Today’s headlines hardly offer straight facts. And… not everything in this Christian life is perfect either. Because we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, you and I stand with Him before God, but the reality of life is that our thoughts, habits, actions and reactions are still being refined, corrected, perfected and the other people we encounter daily are still not exactly perfect either. Basically what I’m saying is - even when we’re living for Jesus, stuff happens. Welcome to a turbulent, grace filled, mercy covered life, to a journey of running with Jesus, before everything else, and living a life of purpose designed by God.
One of THE GREATEST responses we can learn in living a life of worship, is that when the stuff happens - run TO God, not FROM God. Our worship is not just a response when good things happen or when we feel like we are doing good. It’s the response we need to use first when we’re right in the middle of a mess as well because He is our Refuge and Help and has exactly what we need for whatever we’re facing.
When we feel distant, when we feel disappointed, when we’ve messed up and when we don’t understand what’s going on. He is our refuge.
