Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! Lamentations 3:22-23 CSB
As Christ’s, we carry His name and His message. When Jesus was on Earth, He was the light of the world. But now He calls us that! Can you imagine? You me.... light carriers - therefore while the world is getting darker God’s light shines brighter!
Whoa. God, thank You for bringing us together into Your family and giving us a home in Your Kingdom!
All our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world make up the Church, HIS one nation under God. We, the people of God, are the Church, my friends, We’re just passing through this earth, our citizenship to the nation we live in is only temporary. Our permanent citizenship is with His kingdom where Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords and king of kings! Hallelujah!
Amazing grace! Take this seriously, but also, don’t be preoccupied with worry. God has given us everything we need to follow His direction. Christ is king and He is with us, He has called us to be Kingdom people. As we get to take forward the Gospel message into a spiralling world, there will be resistance. However, we must not retreat into gloom and hopelessness.
Rather, lets remember the Gospel is a welcome announcement of the possibility of real and lasting transformation of people’s lives - not necessarily an easy transformation, but with salvation so freely given when we put our faith in Jesus our lives will be so magnificently changed. May we continue to seek Holy Spirit prayerfully and acknowledge our very real struggles and hardships in anticipation of the fullness of God’s Kingdom on earth. Its probably good to make note and be reminded that the goodness of God, the mercy of God, pulls us through the steady flow of challenges we meet - it reminded me, and continuously teaches me, that Giving your life to Jesus’ commission isn’t an easy, everything will always be rosey career choice….. , it will also be experienced in ways that are completely unexpected and may not fit our idea of what should happen when God rescues His people. There will be grief, loss, trauma, and any amount of challenges, Jesus emphasized that these are the true signs of the way that God’s Kingdom comes to birth. May we be steadfast to understand, by Holy Spirit’s knowledge, where Jesus Christ is already at work making this a reality. As such, we must continue to be a people who pray for God’s creation, trusting God will bring His Kingdom to completion in His own time and in His own way.
God is not controlling, He is in command. The Bible teaches us through Apostle Paul that the crucified Messiah was raised from the dead and now reigns from the place where God dwells (1.20). Jesus, the one true King, is above all rule, power, authority, and dominion, both now and forevermore (v 21). This is good news for today because, by Holy Spirit, Jesus continues to renew His world by making it part of His gentle, just, and saving rule.
My friends, relinquish your hurts, shame, anger at the foot of the cross. The Christian message is about God coming to take charge as He calls and equips His children to participate in the work of new creation. The Lordship of the risen Jesus and His presence in the world by the presence Holy Spirit means that real and lasting change is possible as renewed people become followers and carriers of the Good News. The Gospel creates possibilities for Christians to be agents and signposts in God’s created world, proclaiming the welcome announcement of the Kingdom of God on earth as in heaven.
