Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.  Isaiah 40:28-31 NASB

The prophet Isaiah teaches that those who hope in the Lord have their strength renewed and their energy restored.

Even in those moments when we have been so saddened or discouraged that we couldn’t sleep and weariness of the soul exhausts us Jesus Christ offers His outstretched hand and when we grasp it He shelters us - we become hopeful, covered in renewed strength, literally filled with songs of praise, with restored sight that Holy Spirit shows us the majesty and wonder of the Lord most high!

Praising the Lord is the one thing we get to do on earth that we will do forever in eternity. There may be other things that will carry over, such as trusting and loving God. But as far as our outward action, praise is the one thing we know with certainty that we will continue to do in heaven.

For the heavenly hosts, praise is a full-time occupation. They are praising the Lord in vast numbers even as we are sitting here together - The book of Revelation even records the content of their praise as they encircle Christ's throne:

Revelation 5:11-14 NASB Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.” And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

Our loved ones who have passed on and joined the church in heaven are worshiping God, praising God, adoring God—and doing so with utter abandon.  Hallelujah!!

If you are exhausted at the end of the day, sit for a while with God. Praise Him with every ounce of energy that remains in you. You will be refreshed, not only mentally and emotionally, but physically. There is a special strength imparted to those who praise the Lord. This kind of strength gives us the power of hope to endure, to persevere, to outlast tough times. It gives us the power to intercede until God gives a breakthrough.
