But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.  John 16:7-15 NASB

Wow! That verse resonates! That’s a pretty big deal, if you ask me, because I desperately need the help Holy Spirit offers.

Life filled with Holy Spirit is not us trying to live for God but letting Holy Spirit live through us.

And that my friends is a mind blowing truth! when Holy Spirit “dwells” within us we live in a daily, hourly, relationship with Him. when we surrender to Holy Spirit and let Him join us in prayer, when reading the Bible, singing songs of praise and worship to our Lord most high we receive the authority of Christ! God’s people! Yes, welcome Holy Spirit’s correction and wisdom - invite Him to live through you.

Acts 19:4-6 NASB Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

Salvation came when Jesus died in our place, and sanctification comes when we move ourselves out of the way and welcome Jesus to lead our journey.

We are called to work on our relationship with Holy Spirit, and He will work on our character in return. And we get to live in His presence because of the events that took place thousands of years ago!

Holy Spirit is God. He is our advocate and comforter, teaching us how to fulfill all the things we are created to do. We need Him not only to demonstrate God’s power but also to remind us to love those God puts on our path the way Jesus wants us to. We need the ministry of Holy Spirit to teach us how to live in obedience to God’s Word, resist temptations to sin, and even keep our mouths shut when we want to lash out. It’s impossible to step out the door as a disciple of Jesus Christ without a deep relationship with Holy Spirit.
