He was in the world, and the world was created by Him, but the world did not recognize Him. He came to what was His own, but His own people did not receive Him. But to all who have received Him – those who believe in His name – He has given the right to become God’s children – children not born by human parents or by human desire, but by God.  John 1:10-13 NET

Salvation is a process that begins when we accept Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for our sins. We are saved, delivered, from our past sins, addictions, destroying behaviours and their penalty (death, physical and/or spiritual). We must then - we actually get to- begin a life of change and growth—becoming more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Reading the Bible is a huge piece of growth, make time daily to grow in His wisdom, read the living word of God.

In Romans 10:9-10 the Bible tells us that if we declare with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and if we believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, then we are saved.

You see, by believing in Jesus Christ, we are made right with God.  It’s truly that easy.

And its even more bewildering! If we continue to repent and change and remain faithful to the Lord for our whole life, we will then receive salvation in its fullest sense—be given eternal life at the return of Jesus Christ. We will be saved from ever having to face death again.

So, the question remains for us—are we on the road to salvation? Because if not, we need to start like right now!
