Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:8-11 NASB
Jesus prayed, that all believers might be as one body under one head, animated by one soul, by union with Christ and God in Him, through Holy Spirit dwelling in them.
Did you catch that? By the power and presence of Holy Spirit in us, we can have harmony with God and one another. Our common faith in Christ unites us as family, and Holy Spirit in us unites us as one body under the headship of Jesus.
Thus, we can work FEARLESS together for the good of mankind, we can put aside the need for getting things done our way- we can be an undivided community, God’s church! on mission!
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25)
He is not only saying He can give the resurrection.
He is saying, “I am the resurrection.”
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, but eventually His friend went on to die again.
Jesus did not die again. This is why we He is our hope for live eternal. Saved by Faith in Jesus Christ, salvation for those who acknowledge Jesus as the risen Saviour.
And anyone who believes in Him, though he dies, will live.
The consequence of sin is death. Jesus took care of both sin and death. God created us, human beings, to never die. To have beautiful, absolute, unbroken relationship with Him. But we decided against it and sinned against Him. Sin entered the world, and death followed closely.
Jesus came, He chose to die, to take our sins upon Himself. And on the third day, when He rose again, He became our Savior from sin.
There will come a time when we will die biologically but if we believe in Jesus, our perspective of death is much different, it is not the end.
