Then Daniel went to his house and informed his friends, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, about the matter, so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his friends would not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Daniel 2:17-18 NASB
Jesus, we need your boldness and freedom today. Fill us Holy Spirit as we yield to You!
Daniel didn’t go before Nebuchadnezzar pleading with him to spare his life, but rather he stood before the king of Babylon with boldness and confidence in God.
Psalms 103:13 NASB Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
If we are in Christ, we are new creatures, and we must live like it. We cannot live like we once lived, because we are not the people we once were. In Colossians 3, God gives us traits that characterize this new life, but first He reminds us of our new identity.
My friends, the Lord God Almighty created each and every human who has walked His earth, who is walking His world and who will take their first breath here in His kingdom, we cannot hide from Him we cannot leave out pieces of our story when we talk with Him - God knows every moment thought detail action emotion and when we honestly turn our eyes to Jesus, when we sincerely tell God of the sins we commit, when We ask Jesus into our hearts, to become our King, accepting and acknowledging that Jesus Christ is the risen Saviour, He who paid the price for mankind’s sins, we will be made aware, veil removed by Holy Spirit, that we are God’s chosen ones,
It is His mercy, compassion, unconditional love for His people- That God chose us - that we are special to Him. With this assurance of our identity in Christ, we are ready to firmly and decisively live this way:
live with a compassionate heart - a boldness to share the Gospel to be a piece is someone’s salvation story ! Care about people, about suffering, about hurts. See people as God sees them;
put on kindness: kindness in your voice, your smile, your eyes and your actions;
take on humility. Humble yourself. Focus on Christ and others, not on yourself. Lie low and exalt Jesus;
live with meekness. Be gentle, not harsh or demanding. Be tender with people;
take on patience. Choose to be easy to live with, not irritable, difficult, or quick-tempered;
bear with one another. Be patient with people. Don’t fly off the handle. Choose to let some things go;
forgive one another. Choose to forgive the persons who have wronged you.
Make the choice because God has forgiven you.
