Healthy In Body, Strong In Spirit

Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. Some of the traveling teachers recently returned and made me very happy by telling me about your faithfulness and that you are living according to the truth.  3 John 1:2-3 NLT 

God, we humble ourselves before Your majesty, Take my life I pray, and use it as a witness to the truth of the gospel, that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to the Father, and may many come to faith in You in the days that lie ahead, to Your praise and glory. We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen! 

For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the glory that will be revealed to us. Romans 8:18 NET

God, may we never cease to glory in the eternal message of peace on earth and goodwill towards men, for You alone are worthy of all honour and praise. This saying is trustworthy: If someone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work.  The overseer then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher, not a drunkard, not violent, but gentle, not contentious, free from the love of money.  1 Timothy 3:1-3 NET

Lord, we pray that the body of Christ may become united as one, and abound in the unity of the spirit more and more in love, not compromising truth but showing a genuine concern for one another. We pray that individually and collectively, we may live godly lives with Christ Jesus and seek to encourage and edify one another, seeking to be of the same mind and having the same godly love for each another.  We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

God, You have given us life! We long to know You more and more and have a deep yearning in our hearts to draw closer to You, yes Lord, because of the gift of Your living word we get to know much about You, Your birth in Bethlehem, Your ministry to hurting and oppressed people, Your crucifixion, burial and resurrection. Help us Holy Spirit, day by day to grow in grace and in a knowledge of You, until we can say, "it is not I that live, but Christ who lives in me."
