As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth. He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter.  Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.  2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

God, as turmoil and terror throughout Your earth seem to multiply with every passing day, as the world’s hatred of You increases and as mankind’s animosity towards Your children continues to grow, we long for that promised time of peace on earth that will only come with Jesus Christ.  Forgive us Lord, for we have strayed so far from Your laws and have discredited Your perfect statutes and glorious commandments, in a world that is calling evil good and good evil. We cry out to You, Holy Spirit, help us continue to demonstrate Your forgiveness and grace towards all with whom we come in contact, we pray You look with mercy on those who are still lost and blinded by the lies and deceit of the evil one.  We pray their hearts are softened to You and they seek shelter with You, give their lives over to You our Heavenly Father, yes Jesus… We trust You Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment as we travel through this hurting world, and may Your grace and calm flood the hearts and minds of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Equip us all to share the good news of the glorious gospel to all who are searching for a ‘peace’ that only comes from You.  We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray deliverance, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
