Finding Rest

Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 NET

God, we honor and adore You and give You praise for who You are in our lives. We confess that our choices have not always honored You. Forgive us Lord. Today the burdens in this world are many. They crush us, enslave us and make us restless in our worldly pursuit for peace, health and joy. We see that our communities are filled with those also weary and burdened by so many things. {tweetme}Lord, we pray that You will relieve the pain and suffering and that one day those still seeking will find true rest in You alone.{/tweetme}  Holy Spirit, transform us, Your weary servants. Transform our hearts and minds until we see things differently. Restore our faith in You. Help us to know what to revive in our lives and what to let die. Remove every spirit of anger, doubt and bitterness that may keep us from trusting You completely.  God, give us clarity of thought and clarity of vision. Help us become more like You every day—to walk more like You and to trust You more.  May our eyes be open to your light. May our ears be open to the needs of those around us. May our hearts be softened to the needs of our community. We speak health, spiritual and emotional healing in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray deliverance, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
