For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation. For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. Therefore it was also credited to him as righteousness. Romans 4:13-22 NASB1995
Heavenly Father, this is Your kingdom. This is Your call to the church. May we never again say that we do not know what You want from us - for here it is. Reveal the step You have for us today, right where we are, to see Your kingdom come close. We will follow You today Jesus. You will take care of tomorrow. Mighty God, thank You for helping us see that the result of crying out to You and having You set us on Your solid ground and straight path is not solely for our benefit. It is so others will see and be amazed by Your grace and place their trust in You. Yes Jesus, please help us see the areas in our lives where others may not clearly see Your presence. Help us to not only see those dark spots, but be willing to repent and receive Your correction, so others may come to know and place their trust in You. Lord, we pray, give us the strength to courageously follow after You, even in midst of fire. Holy Spirit, we pray for the wisdom to seek You in prayer and trust You will lead us where we need to go. Thank You, Jesus, for Your goodness, We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
