It shall come about, if you listen obediently to my commandments which I am commanding you today, to love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your heart and all your soul, that He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early and late rain, that you may gather in your grain and your new wine and your oil. He will give grass in your fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. Beware that your hearts are not deceived, and that you do not turn away and serve other gods and worship them. Or the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and He will shut up the heavens so that there will be no rain and the ground will not yield its fruit; and you will perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you. Deuteronomy 11:13-17 NASB
God, we are humbled, awestruck by Your magnificence, everything is held within Your timing, may Your kingdom come, Your will be done, we thank You for revealing to us that You are the source of replenishment when facing wars, famines, droughts, turbulence in this chaotic world. Teach us, Lord, to see Your face in the faces of those we love as well as in the faces of our enemies so that we may learn to show all who cross our paths the same measure of overflowing love, grace, and mercy that You have shown me…..A sinner. Oh God, give us a deep love for Your Word. We pray You continue to give Your people a passion for understanding it and sharing it. Pour out Your wisdom upon us that we may rightly discern Your ways, use us to encourage and uplift others. Lord, guard me from sharing Your Word out of context or from sugarcoating the Bible to satisfy those with itching ears. Most of all, Lord, help us to walk in Your Word, that we may not deceive or be deceived, We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
