“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” Galatians 5:16-25 NASB
Holy Spirit, we love You. We need You. Thank You for wisdom, correction and encouragement. We leave behind our meandering half-heartedness that was once our relationship with You. Right now, we give You all that we have—heart, soul, mind, strength. Yes Lord, thank You...... Jesus, we choose to follow only You. We commit to pursue You alone. Lord, we are sorry for the times that we have grieved Holy Spirit in our lives and instead have tried to live out of our own strength and power. Please forgive us. Help us to be sensitive to Holy Spirit and to obey Your promptings in our life. Amen!
PRAY TOGETHER: Lord, send Your wind and Your fire. I want the true power of Pentecost in my life. I know I cannot be filled with Your Spirit if I’m full of myself. I choose to empty my life of all distractions, personal agendas, unholy desires, and unconfessed sin. Burn up the dross and purify my heart so I can be a vessel of Your Spirit. And send a fresh fire to Your church globally! We are ever thankful that we do not have to live this life on our own. We humbly receive Your rescue. Gratefully, we will remain in Your refuge. We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray deliverance, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
