Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” After laying His hands on them, He departed from there. Matthew 19:13-15 NASB
Jesus, You always care for the children. When the disciples wanted to stop kids from coming to You, You told them to allow them and took the children in Your arms. We need You to wrap Your arms of love and protection around our kids today. They are under attack. The enemy wants to get their focus off of You as much as he can. Society does everything it can to kill their belief in You by poisoning their young minds. They place ungodly messages, themes and ideas in the shows, games and social media that the kids watch. Father, help us be diligent in protecting our kids from things that are not of You. Help us not to turn a blind eye. Help us not over-shelter our kids, but help us guard their minds and prepare them for the evil world they will face. Give us Godly influences in their lives. Give them Godly communities and friend groups that they can be part of to lean on when times get hard. Father, help us to teach them by passing on the knowledge that You have given us. Help them pass that knowledge on to future generations. We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
