The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you. Matthew 28:5-7 NASB
Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed!
We praise You, Lord Jesus, for Your mighty resurrection! We worship You. We love You. Forgive us for the times we take the glorious gift of the Gospel and all that Your resurrection gave mankind for granted. Yes Lord, open our eyes to recognize You in the ordinary encounters with the people we meet. We pray for those people like us who have become witnesses to Your mercy and forgiveness. Commission us afresh God to proclaim the good news with irrepressible courage and truth. I pray especially for those who are preaching Your Word in churches, in houses, on streets, anywhere You have placed us around the world, that the Bible will be spoken, shared, read, that Your people would proclaim Jesus Christ is alive with the same passion and amazement that Mary had on that very first Easter Day. Holy Spirit, we receive You joyfully. We relinquish our sense of inadequacy and receive again Your Kingdom’s plan to go out through these locked doors, to proclaim that You are all that is all that was and all that will be. Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, hear our prayer. We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
