Quick To Hear

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. James 1:19 NASB

God, we ask that You help us hear You more fully, especially when we feel discouraged. Oh Lord, we do not want to become lost in despair to such a degree that we neglect to listen to You. Jesus, You are truth. In our day, people think the truth has many versions. Yet there is only one truth—and You are this truth. Truth can’t be modified. Truth doesn’t adjust to the current cultural climate or norms. Truth is rooted and founded in You.  Knowing You means knowing the Truth. Knowing You means knowing the way we are to go. Knowing You means understanding how to apply wisdom to all of life’s choices. We praise You because You have made truth available to each of Your people through Your Holy Bible, we accept that Your Word is truth Lord, and we are sanctified when we surrender to Your will and honor You in all we do.  We pray hope, we pray healing, we pray joy, we pray deliverance, we pray reconciliation, we pray love, we pray rejoicing, we pray salvation, we pray revival, we pray forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
