The Holy Scriptures teach that God “has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Col. 1:13–14). Notice that there has been a change of location. Delivered. You used to be under the domain of darkness. But the moment you believed in Jesus, you were rescued, moved, redeemed and placed under the blood of Jesus Christ. Christ, God incarnate, the atonement for all the sins of humanity. When Jesus walked with His early followers the Lord accepted sinners by associating with them, forgiving their sins, and calling them to repentance rather than condemning them. Remember He stated, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick...”. Jesus's acceptance was an act of unconditional love and mercy, and When our Lord Jesus died at Calvary, perfect and sinless, He took the judgment, punishment, and condemnation we deserved upon Himself demonstrating that God came to save His lost sheep, and welcome us into His eternal kingdom. The Saviour took all of humanity’s sins with one sacrifice of Himself. And Jesus still invites all to come to Him.
