The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. Peacemakers, who sow in peace, raise a harvest of righteousness.  James 3:17-18 NIV

Choose to sing of His Goodness, instead of complaining. Choose to sing of His kindness, instead of doubting. Choose to sing and praise His Name forever. When the enemy comes to devour your peace — choose to praise Him. Sing unto the Lord a new song — let God transform your language.

Choose to commune with Him. Let Holy Spirit fill you with His calm, wisdom, discernment.

Choose to meditate upon His Word. Let His Word consume you. Let His Word transform you. Let His Word guide you. Let His Word shift your situation. Let His Word shift your way of thinking.

Joshua 1:8 KJV This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

God’s wisdom forms character- it is marked by purity and the love of peace in relationships. God’s wisdom values relationships, values authority and values mercy. Our words either sow peace or division. Those who walk in God’s wisdom sow peace and call others to a right relationship with God. Peace with others and with God marks the relationships of those who walk with God’s wisdom in life.

We cannot ignore the people God allows to pass through our lives and call ourselves wise. We are not created to be fearful of the person we “don’t relate to”

You probably know what I mean ….

Maybe you were born in church and have always felt you walked with God and so haven’t taken the opportunity to get to know the co-worker who’s swearing and fashion sense make you uncomfortable - taking you wrongly to the point of judging them rather than having Jesus join the conversations.

Or on the flip side maybe you are outgoing and friendly and are a new Christian, on fire for the Lord, yet you can’t relate to long time brothers and sisters in Christ who express their praise and worship to God in a reserved way and so you allow fear of being judge to block you from inviting them over for coffee.

Please please please Let Holy Spirit fill you with His calm, wisdom, discernment.  Wisdom is the sum total of many decisions to faithfully love God, fearlessly love others, and to live in God’s ways during our crazy time on earth with humility and respect.

When we invite Him in - fear slides away, we are literally a new creation, uncontaminated, made clean by the blood of Jesus Christ!

Jesus, You lived with heaven’s wisdom. We desire to be like You. Yes Lord, forgive us, fill us with Your life and Holy Spirit again today and live Your life through Your people.

James 4:6 TPT But He continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, “God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”

We either set apart Christ as Lord, or we live for and worship something or someone else. For many it is science that is god, and the technology that it offers us. In this worldview, people are on the throne of their individual lives and pride rules. The strongest survive and the weakest die… and the tragedy of fear as comfort becomes a reality.

But by God’s amazing grace - Followers of Jesus get to carry His truth to a materialistic, rationalistic, scientific worldview by living with faith that is eternal. This world is not the end of the story; scientific observation is not the end of reality.

We walk with Jesus by expressing the values of hope, faith, and love. We witness by facing death without fear. We share the power of Holy Spirit with gentleness and respect for others- with forgiveness and grace we so freely receive ourselves.

I'm learning that to stand - to look above fear and see Jesus in the horizon - We must choose whose friend we desire to be. Behind the pride of the world’s system, is the influence of the devil. Sin influences our behaviour, our choices, and we open the door to the enemy’s influence when we take our eyes off of our risen Saviour.

Oh Jesus! Wow ! What a revelation! You are our truth promise hope teacher friend healer - and by Your very hand we are set apart - saved- to spend eternity with You when our time in this place is done!

Repent. Pray with Holy Spirit, pray, tell God each and every thought, misdeed, yes we must repent, give everything to Him - for His arms are strong, God welcomes us home each and every time we mess up - because He is at our side- His strong arms pull us out of the mud, set us on solid ground- His rock!

That leaves me fearless! Breathless actually!

I mean can you even begin to imagine, let alone comprehend the absolute magnificence of God?!? He who created all things in the beginning and every moment continues to create ! Because He loves! Whoa! It is humbling isn’t it. And He loves each and every human on His planet- in His nations, His countries, His cities, His communities- and yes HIS churches.

Romans 10:17 NET Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.

Humility opens the door to God’s grace. God desires relationship with all those to whom He has given life.

However, our gift of free will give us the freedom to choose whose friend we will be.

Will we choose humility, grace and the joy of walking fearlessly with God, or pride, the approval of the world and Satan’s influence?

Take courage.

Jesus gives this command in the context of instructing the disciples about the near future when He would be tortured and killed and things would look dark and hopeless.

He was making it clear to them that God is in control, the future was bright, and that He was (and will) bring good out of evil.

John 16:31-33 TPT Jesus replied, “Now you finally believe in me. And the time has come when you will all be scattered, and each one of you will go your own way, leaving me alone! Yet I am never alone, for the Father is always with me. And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”

Jesus Christ, giving Himself for us- generation after generation- was victory! He was winning despite all appearances. He wanted those walking with Him then and each one of us since to take the long view of eternity and allow that perspective to give them courage.

Yes my friends, The same thing is true for each of us who follows Him today and tomorrow.
