God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46:1-7 KJV

It’s a humbling realization when we surrender our tumbling thoughts, zig zagging emotions and need for control to Jesus.  And when we do surrender we will be wrapped in true freedom that only God can supply ! Amazing grace!

So how do we go from feeling shattered in a parking lot to sitting at the table with Jesus? How do we become so filled with Holy Spirit that we pour over others? Ask God! Turn your face up to him and ask

Tell me how….

How to read Bible

How to pray

how to break free from addiction

How to forgive

How to have the joy of the Lord

How to have peace that is unshakeable

He will answer … good to note from my personal experience that when asking for peace sometimes a very “unpeaceful” thing comes along to grow our roots deeper and our grasp on Gods outstretched hand tighter!

Isaiah 28:24-26 CSB Does the plowman plow every day to plant seed? Does he continuously break up and cultivate the soil? When he has leveled its surface, does he not then scatter black cumin and sow cumin? He plants wheat in rows and barley in plots, with spelt as their border. His God teaches him order; He instructs him.

Thank You Lord of all that we don’t have to know the answer to “how” when we know Who!!!

Because Jesus.

We don’t have to know - we have to actually accept what God is asking of us and do it.

Don’t let what you don’t know stop you from walking alongside Jesus or sowing for His kingdom either, The farmer didn’t know how it the seeds were going to push through the soil but he planted.

We have to keep praying - believing.

We have to be present we have to show up.

He makes us fishers of men.

He does not need us but He does require our will our want our surrender our obedience our trust.

You might be in a situation right now where you don’t know what to do, but you can get into the Bible, read the living word of God as the beloved child you are! keep your thoughts turning to the beautiful face of Jesus.

Because He is our peace/ Courageous peace - He is the revelation that we can step forward knowing that we can sit with Jesus while at the same time fixing our eyes on Him.

To tell you the truth I find Peace a puzzling thing.

You might feel like you have it together in the morning and by afternoon, you might feel a world apart from it.

And you might be joining us here today, and you have wrestled with finding true peace in a world of chaos — whether from a restless mind, or from living in a restless world.

Wow - Peace is knowing that God is working even when we don’t understand. In a world that has normalized “me time” and “me first” and “just be you” seeking our own wants first all too often leads to a hollowness we can’t explain but my friends the unconditional love that God has for each one of us let’s us can stand with an assurance - we are loved we are forgiven we are never alone even in an empty room!

It enables us to act confidently with the character of God.
