My passion is to be consumed with Him and not clinging to my own “righteousness” based in keeping the written Law. My “righteousness” will be His, based on the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—the very righteousness that comes from God. And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus more fully and to experience the overflowing power of His resurrection working in me. I will be one with Him in His sufferings and I will be one with Him in His death. Only then will I be able to experience complete oneness with Him in His resurrection from the realm of death.  Philippians 3:9-11 TPT

The realization of who God is brings us to understand that we are sinners to the core in desperate need of God’s grace and forgiveness. And that is the same grace and forgiveness we are to give others because we have limited understanding of the state of our own hearts, and therefore could not possibly know other people’s heart motives. God alone knows the heart, and as such we must really strive to extend His compassion to His people.

My friends, Holy Spirit not only makes us aware of our sin He helps us understand that God has to provide the solution to our problem because we cannot save ourselves. Be honest but not ashamed. spend our time together growing with Jesus, He is teacher and healer.  Let that truth sink in, meanwhile  keeping in mind that Jesus loves you and gave His life so that you and I could have fellowship with Him forever. Hallelujah! Let us walk in His Light!

1 John 1:7 TPT But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds Him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.

Maybe this is a clearer way of approaching salvation.... Someone who walks in the Light has encountered God, and this encounter with the Light (Jesus) has shown this person how lost they are in their sin. God’s light has exposed their sin, and that conviction led them to receive Jesus’s work for them as the most beautiful undeserved gift. The gratitude that is born out of receiving God’s love, mercy, promise of salvation and grace changes hearts and and realigns motives to God’s will.

Romans 6:23 NET For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The fellowship (closeness, intimacy, communion) we experience with God through Jesus’s sacrifice therefore not only changes our hearts, but our actions become the result––the fruit––of our walk with God.

Walking in the Light creates an authentic, loving, Christ-centered community having nothing to do with hypocrisy. Once we experience the love of God, we will start forgiving those who have wronged us, we will remove gossip from our lips, and we will love as we have never loved before. Our good deeds will not come from legalism and personal glory but from a loving relationship with God the Father.

Can you even imagine! It’s pretty thrilling actually. Our life will shine like a lighthouse. It will become a beacon of hope for those who have been trying so hard to be accepted and loved. The love we receive through our relationship and fellowship with God will become so attractive that people will start wondering about the changes they see in us. A church (brother’s and sisters in Christ) that exercises love proves, more than anything else, that we are disciples of Christ (John 13:35 ESV). May our walk in the Light shine amid darkness and lead people to a new life, free from shame, with Jesus!
