I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. Philippians 4:12-13 TPT
When emotions are running high, trust God to supply the answers to the days ahead, intentionally listening for God and experiencing His deep peace and light. It is so needed. When we carry that light received so freely from our Lord we can pour it over our households, social groups, neighbourhoods, anywhere and everywhere. We are all community together, for better or for worse. Even in the midst of uncertainty, God knows it is all happening, God is with us and is active. Yes! Praise be to God!
As January has headed into the new year like a freight-train, it has also been a reminder to get on our knees before God and thank Him for providing.... furniture, running water or electricity, a roof.... by His amazing grace, truly humbling isn't it, that our God is with us here right now! .... When we accept God’s, which fills us overabundantly, we will see the most amazing things starting to happen. We begin to learn what is truly essential and what isn't, and with each nonessential thing we let go of, our hearts grow calmer, quieter, more open, and more joyful. Our souls grow lighter. Our relationships grow deeper.
We’re so quick to replace Him with superficial interests, movies, entertainment. Let us remember our identity is found in Jesus alone. He has blessed us with so much more than we deserve.
He loves us with a love that surpasses our understanding. Let’s rejoice up on the mountain and find joy in the valleys. Let us focus on Jesus, stay prepared to battle, reevaluate, adapt, overcome, and find joy in the process. God has chosen you to live, love, and change the world in a way that only you can do.
No matter the situation, The Lord is with you through every dark day. Trust in Him and let Him guide you to find the joy in falling. And in the joy of standing up, dusting off and stepping forward again.
