God Is Astounding

The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; You hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. Psalm 16:5–6 ESV

The longer I live, the more amazed I am by the goodness of God.

It’s amazing how impatient our society has become.  Financial markets are about the next quarter. Fashion markets are about the next season. The stock market is about the next dollar. Social media is about the next post.

But in our continual desire for what’s next, we can miss the beauty and gift of the now.

We need faith and patience. Patience in the waiting. But also the patience to see what God is doing in the here and now, to see Him working, moving, and fulfilling His promises in our lives.   

Before we take our first breath, God had a plan for our lives. And the same is true for you. The key is to stay committed to God, His Word, and His plan. He might not show you the whole journey, but He’ll show you each step. And as we stay committed to His leading, He’s going to astound His people.

The key isn’t our perfection. The key is our commitment. And God hasn’t brought you this far to abandon you now!
