He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of His life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous. Psalms 1:3 TPT
Remember too that God’s grace will be worked out in your life, by being like a tree. A tree grows both ways – downward and upward. Rooted where planted.
Growing downward is humbly admitting our need for a changed direction when we wander away from the Lord, accepting our weaknesses, getting on our knees in prayer and welcoming Jesus fully into our lives as the risen Saviour.
While growing upward is remembering and cherishing God’s precious gift of salvation and our identity as a person given God’s divine power to live every day here until He calls us home to His kingdom.
With Christ there is only grace, His favor is upon us always, no matter what we do. Because of grace, there is no judgement for failure, there is no being benched for lack of performance.
But remember too that His graciousness towards us is not free reign to run off in all directions going against Gods commandments one moment then demanding His mercy and forgiveness the next !
With God, there is the expectation that we respond with, act with and practice biblical virtues. Not in a sense that we can earn salvation, but in responses motivated by gratitude!
Yes Lord! Oh how we love You!
