Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, acknowledging His name. Hebrews 13:15 NET
When we lift our voices in song, praising God for all things, be sure to look back to what you sang, prayed, and heard. Talk about it with others, and let’s take those truths even further into our own hearts, pressing on to see what God will do in and through us.
Yes Lord! We won’t leave our praise and worship in the kitchen when God wants us to take it with us wherever we go.
Head into the day with great expectations. God will speak. God is present. Will you seek Him?
What happens in worship praise? You might say: “We work our way through a familiar song..” “We wait for a fresh experience with the Holy Spirit.”.
Each of these answers unveils something of the true nature of what mysteriously takes place when we lift our hands, in awe, in worship: God communicates to us through Gospel word and prayer, calling forth responses from us; like returning prodigals, we confess our sins as we come home to our Heavenly Father’s house, rejoicing in His forgiving embrace of love as He is there to meet us through words of pardon; we hear Christ speak His living word powerfully into our lives.
