Don’t harden your hearts, choose to receive God and be free. Let God lead and soften your heart. Receive His provision. Oh my, yes, because when we do, no matter how tired we are Then will we be able to pour into others the light of Jesus!
And lately I’ve been noticing more and more, and I’m certainly feeling it more and more, an almost unnatural exhaustion. Still carrying the joy of the Lord, but physically tired, probably more like an all encompassing exhausted. And I know we are not alone in that. Again, we are inundated with news headlines, grief, strife, sorrow right there in our faces when we turn on the TV, open a Facebook page, scroll Instagram. But God, our mighty Lord does not grow weary.
There’s liberty in Christ. There’s freedom in Him. There is REST.
And I know it’s not an easy one, to pull yourself out of bed and face another day in the middle of seemingly hopeless circumstance, but it is an important one for every believer. It starts with the decision to rejoice in your sufferings no matter how weary you are or how heavy the burdens are.
When you can do this, you fan into flame Holy Spirit’s gift of endurance, which produces character.
By Jesus Christ’s amazing grace!
