If You Do Not Yet Know Him

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.  Romans 8:1-2 NET

This are Jesus Christ’s offerings to every Christian—to receive mercy and grace instead of judgment and destruction because God has saved us by the redemptive judgment that is far more dramatic, raw, heart wrenching and glorious than we can truly know. 

Amazing grace!

It is at the cross of Jesus Christ where God’s justice and mercy pour down from heaven upon each of us undeserving and unlikely recipients. At the foot of the cross, we continue to wonder (the thought of it regularly humbles me leaving me dumbstruck) not at what will be God’s just judgment but at why so many of us will receive the Lord’s undeserved mercy and grace over and through our lives. 

The “why” has one answer. It is because of Jesus, whose salvation is far greater than any hope we could muster for the people of God.

And my friends, if You do not yet know Jesus as Your Lord, Saviour to all, seek after Him. Talk to Him. Yield to His will upon your daily walk.  He is worth every breath we freely take in. 

It is Jesus who washes us clean and makes us a part of His family. United to Him, we, too, have been snatched out of destruction and made inheritors of the kingdom of God. 

And as we cannot help but wonder why, know that the only answer is the love of God.
