”I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.“ John 14:16-29 NASB

We have begun a new calendar year, its the first week of January 2024 and as we step into God’s kingdom plan on earth, may His will be done. Begin (or continue) the daily discipline of reading the Bible. Pray with Holy Spirit for understanding of His word, for clarity, discernment in the situations you face, pray for His wisdom, take time throughout the weeks ahead to reflect on the truth of God’s grace, correction, mercy, forgiveness and compassion regarding every aspect of our lives. When we engage in God’s word and recall how He delivered many individuals from their sins and during their challenging situations, don’t forget that He is the same GOD who will guard and deliver us, His sons and daughters, receive Jesus Christ as the Saviour and find comfort in God’s promises of being with us through all of life’s battles. Amazing grace! We praise You for that revelation Lord!

There is a very real battle in the heaven-lies, take hold of Jesus Christ and do not let go. Trust Him. To Jesus, every person matters. He came to show us God’s complete love for His people, even while we were still His “enemies.” And when Jesus called us as His followers, He didn’t leave us without teaching us, He commanded us to pray for each other, pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) pray for everyone friends and enemies (Ephesians 6:18-20) read the Bible (2 Timothy 3:14-17) dress in the armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-17) receive Philippians 4:6-9 NASB ….”Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.“

I’m sure we have heard it said, "the battle is won or lost in the mind". that is a tactical truth of war…… Our thought life is so precious and important, and if we do not renew the mind with the word of God, we are subject to give in to any desire and walk in fear. God designed us to be consumed with Him, but the enemy infiltrated, and now we spend way too much time thinking about the next best gadget, scrolling social media, trying on our own merit to overcome our problems.

In the Bible Apostle Paul admonishes us to renew our minds daily. Dive into the word of God, read a verse a day, read a chapter a day, but read God’s word, it renews our mind and refocuses our attention onto the Author of life.
